MiG joins a wonderful line-up of supporters for the brilliant KAREN JACOBSEN - for her most recent project:  Better Standard Than This . It's a musical adaptation of former Australian Prime Minister, Julia Gillard's historical MISOGYNY SPEECH. 

On October 9th, 2012, Australia’s first and so far only female Prime Minister Julia Gillard AC delivered a speech with a message that reverberated around the world. addressing misogyny and sexism. Her words carried the power of millennia of women experiencing a lesser standing in our world. International Songwriter, Concert Artist and Professional Speaker Karen Jacobsen was so inspired by the message of this iconic speech, she has composed a long form pop orchestral work setting those words - word for word - to music (with permission). MAN IN THE MIRROR: MiG joins the global cast of THRILLER LIVE and headliner Siedah Garrett with a new version of the Michael Jackson hit, MAN IN THE MIRROR (written by Siedah Garrett and Glen Ballard) to raise money for the Ukrainian refugees. As the war in Ukraine escalates, and continues, the need to help our brothers and sisters in the Ukraine is more crucial than ever before. MiG performed in and also edits the video. HELP MiG HELP ZAIRUS

Zairus Cervantes is a brave young man from the Philippines who was once a gifted and multi-awarded student, but then fell ill with a series of complicated illnesses from epilepsy, spontaneous pneumothorax, asthma, panic disorder and conversion disorder, paranoid schizophrenia, GERD, heart regurgitation and essential hypertension. His family has struggled to keep up with medications and treatments, as the costs escalate far beyond their means. There is very limited access to support for the family in a poor country like the Philippines, especially during these crazy Covid times.

However, Zairus somehow found MiG online and started sending him videos of him singing some classic show tunes, and asking his opinion of his performances, and asking how he could improve. One day, he decided to send MiG some poems that he wrote, and they were stunning. The lyrics of this song, IN YOUR ARMS, are a poem that Zairus wrote about his family. MiG thought it would be the perfect way to make people aware of Zairus' plight and maybe the world can help this man and his family with all their rising medical costs.

AUSTRALIAN CONCERTS CANCELLED DUE TO LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS

It is regrettable to announce MiG will no longer take part in the ELTON JOHN and GEORGE MICHAEL symphony concerts in Australia in September due to the recent new lockdown restrictions. Entering Australia is extremely difficult at the moment and the uncertainty of the nature of this new outbreak resulted in future plans being on hold for now. Metropolis Touring may still go ahead with the concerts as planned if restrictions ease in time, but will be replacing my spot in the line-up. It is a gift of positivity that we will make it through this and be bigger and better and stronger because of what we have had to suffer and endure. The future is brighter, as this will pass. MiG arrives in Sydney for preparations for A TRIBUTE TO GEORGE MICHAEL : a celebration of the music of the late great George Michael. MiG will perform brand new arrangements by conductor George Ellis with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, a full rock band and backing vocalists this Saturday, 7 September at The Concourse in Chatswood, Sydney. Relive the magic of the late great George Michael – a pop idol superstar who recorded such toe-tapping numbers as Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and Freedom to beautifully crafted and sentimental ballads such as Careless Whisper and Jesus to a Child.

Peter Bacho's award winning novel 'CEBU' is in the process of becoming a feature film, and MiG has been selected to write the soundtrack for the score. CEBU - the novel, won the AMERICAN BOOK AWARD when it was first published, and the  screenplay adaption was a finalist at the BEVERLY HILLS FILM FESTIVAL. The film CEBU has the potential to appeal to a world-wide audience. Never before has there ever been a film that tells the story of the people of the Philippines in the mid 20th Century. The time has come to showcase Filipino and Fil/Am talent in the mainstream. It's a family historical drama, a love story, and an action/adventure film, that just must be made.

MiG joins the star-studded line up for ROCK 'N' ROLL DEBAUCHERY'S 'DOWN-N-DIRTY DISCO'! 

After a sold-out evening in April, Rock N’ Roll Debauchery, the critically acclaimed theatrical rock experience, returns to The Cutting Room with their acclaimed experience: The Down-N-Dirty Disco! 

On Monday May 14th, The RnRD Family salutes the cast of Cirque Du Soleil's VOLTA with this performance. Our very own Darius Harper is part of both productions. His VOLTA cast member, Yann Arnaud, tragically lost his life last month, leaving behind a wife and two young children. 50% of all proceeds will be going directly to his family to help during this difficult time. 

The Down-N-Dirty Disco transports audience members back to the golden era of disco with rock and roll tied into each number. Guests can expect to hear numerous classic tunes revamped in the signature Rock N’ Roll Debauchery style, as they shake their groove thing with a cast of stage and screen veterans.

Guests are invited to The Cutting Room at 7:00PM for cocktails at the bar. Doors for the special evening open at 7:00PM with performances beginning at 8:00PM. Cocktails and food will be served throughout the evening with reserved seating, standing room and more! 

Guests are “highly encouraged” to dress the part as photographers will be on hand to capture your best disco looks.

MiG has joined the TENORS OF ROCK at Harrah's, Las Vegas for a couple of weeks. Use this as an excuse to come to Vegas! The TENORS OF ROCK are the newest most exciting vocal group around. Formed with five of the best male rock voices in the UK. The concept was to reinvent the standard male vocal group and create a seriously high profile rock experience. The vocal range and harmonic complexity really pushes new boundaries and sets ToR apart from all other vocal groups.

The music and current set list of Tenors of Rock is truly diverse. The group use their unique and innovative sound to put their own twist on songs you know and love, including classic rock tracks such as Sweet Child O’ Mine and God Gave Rock N’ Roll To You.
